As a Full-Time General Manager, you'll have the opportunity to lead our operations, guide grain marketing strategies, and nurture a dedicated workforce.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; additional hours and weekends required during peak seasons

Expectations for the General Manager:
Manage elevator operations in alignment with company objectives, ensuring prompt, courteous, and efficient service for patrons while maximizing profitability.
Oversee the purchasing and selling of grain across various markets, implementing effective grain hedging strategies and risk management programs.
Engage with local producers at the farm level to discuss grain origination and farm marketing plans, enhancing the volume of grain handled.
Implement grain marketing strategies, identify target customers, and maintain regular contact with producers.
Establish and execute elevator housekeeping, safety, and equipment maintenance programs to prevent breakdowns and minimize safety hazards.
Supervise accurate weighing, grading, quality control, mixing, blending, and movement of grain.
Monitor stored grain conditions and daily long/short positions to manage grain handling, storage, and transportation capabilities effectively.
Provide clear job assignment definitions, training, and monitor workforce performance, offering guidance and development opportunities.
Qualifications:
A degree in agriculture or equivalent work experience; prior experience in grain marketing is preferred.
Proficient understanding of cooperative philosophies and principles.
Demonstrated professional communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Previous management or supervisory experience is advantageous.
Class A CDL is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of grain, feed, and agronomy products.
