Flinternship: Entertainment Industry/Publicist Intern Position
Flint Group is in the market for a client-minded Flintern to join our PR and Social Media team for the summer of 2024 focusing primarily on PR and social promotion of music talent as well as generating event and appearance opportunities.
Some travel may be required.
The 2024 summer Flinternship program will run May 16 – August 16 with an average of 30 hours of paid work each week.
This is an in-office position based in Fargo.
Flinternship Requirements
To be eligible for a Flinternship, you must:
Currently be attending college
Have enough credits completed by the beginning of the internship to be considered at least a junior

What you’ll do
PR and Social Promotion
Create monthly social calendars highlighting talents touring schedule, upcoming music releases, and events
Capture backstage content from local shows (Lake’s Jam, studio recording session, etc.
)
Coordinate public appearances and interviews
Account Ownership
Serve as primary liaison between client and Flint Group
Take final ownership of deliverables to the client with assistance from intern team
Industry Specific
Work with local venues to book additional gigs/appearances for the client
Performing the national anthem to full on concerts
Assist with planning launch party/concert for client’s new EP
Who you are
Junior or senior status in college (Fall 2024), working towards a degree in public relations, entertainment industries and technology or a related field
Demonstrated background and knowledge in public relations or event planning
Possess the initiative to over-deliver
Professional in the workplace
Positive attitude and excited to learn
Detail-oriented and ability to multitask
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team setting
Broad knowledge of marketing and advertising through classes or prior experience
