STATUS: Part Time (24 hours per week/48 per pay period)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or related field – or equivelent experience preferred.
Experience
Training or experience in developing and implementing marketing activities
Knowledge and Skills
Basic understanding of nonprofit organizational culture and philosophy
Ability to establish and sustain relationships with stakeholders and key community partners
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in execution of marketing and communications activities
Creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills
Experience developing and managing a departmental budget
Knowledge and appreciation for the concepts of corporate branding
Experience writing and editing press releases, making presentations, and negotiating with media
Experience overseeing design and production of print materials and publications
Computer literacy in office applications, database management, social media, and graphic design
Commitment to working with a corporate leadership and in cross-functional teams
Strong oral and written communications skills, including an appreciation for the importance of the proper use of English, correct spelling, rules of composition, and grammar.
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
JOB SUMMARY:
Marketing: Responsible for planning and implementing all of PioneerCare’s marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal.
Oversees development and implementation of support materials and services for PioneerCare’s multiple lines of service in the area of marketing, communications and public relations.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Major Responsibilities
Prepare an annual marketing plan and budget with involvement from the CEO and other staff leadership
Determine appropriate tactics, including traditional media and digital media, for effective communication strategies
Negotiate with media representatives for strategic placement of advertising
Oversee all marketing content to ensure adherence to brand guidelines
Collaborate with other staff leadership to address issues related to occupancy or staff recruitment
Serve as editor for Foundations and other publications
Maintain an ongoing communications program to build and maintain relationships with member congregations, other churches, and other organizations in the broader community
Communicate regularly with stakeholders using preferred media such as direct mail and group email contact
Serve as primary administrator for social media channels
Keep information current for online referral resources such as senior linkage line and Minnesota Works
Provide consultation for crisis response and communications as needed
Promote and assist with coordination of public events hosted by PioneerCare such as the annual family picnic, open houses, political forums, and special presentations
Identify and efficiently utilize media and content production specialists and broadcast talent as needed

Works in a clean, well lighted office area
Work is primarily sedentary
