Lead ERP and Cost Accountant

*What you will do:* As our *Lead ERP and Cost Accountant,** *you will help the Accounting Team by maintaining an in-depth knowledge of our ERP system.
You will analyze production costs, accounting processes and systems relating to the manufacturing of our products that help control and monitor one of the world’s most valuable and limited resources– *Water!* This position may work in our *Detroit Lakes, MN, Plymouth, MN or Ashland, OH *location.
*The job:* Every day, your primary role will be managing and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and posting and reporting structure within our ERP system.
You will utilize in-depth knowledge of the ERP system to maintain accurate cost data within the system, ensure data integrity, and generate meaningful reports.
You will analyze production costs, including materials, labor, and overhead, to identify variances, trends and cost-saving opportunities.
You will continuously assess accounting processes and systems and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
*The skills you need:* To succeed in this role, you must have experience in manufacturing along with a strong ERP aptitude and background in cost accounting.
You must have experience with ERP implementations and integrations.
You must have experience in cost accounting including inventory, costing, financial statements, variance analysis, etc.
A 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is required as well as 5-10 years of experience.
