Position Summary: The job of the Trim Carpentry Specialist is to prepare all necessary trim material.
You will work in coordination with the project manager.
You will be provided with daily task lists based on the install schedule.
The Project Manager will oversee quality control of all trim products that leave the trim shop.
The Trim Carpentry Specialist will on occasion install trim material at jobsites depending on the schedule.
Job Responsibilities:
Paint and stain trim material based on project needs.
Perform daily cleaning and organizing of trim shop to ensure an effective workspace.
Build jamb and casing boxes per company quality standards.
Maintain all equipment in Trim Shop including, but not limited to: miter saw, table saw, spray equipment, and other shop tools.
Maintain an understanding of trim inventory and order as needed.
Offload and organize trim deliveries with forklift.
Run services and small install projects as time allows.
Assist with any other job duties that are assigned by supervisor.
Work Hours & Benefits:
This is a full-time position.
Health, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance are offered after 60 days of employment.
Supplemental insurance is also offered after 90 days of employment.
A 401k plan is available after one year of employment with an employer match.
Trim Carpentry Specialist Qualifications/Skills:
Valid Driver’s License
Proficient math and measuring skills.
High attention to detail.
Verbal and written communication.
Ability to lift at least 50lbs and work on your feet for long periods of time.
Self-starter and ability to work independently as well as a team member.
Time management
Must be able to maintain quality standards as set by company policy.
Ability to learn on the job and take direction as needed.
Forklift Certification preferred.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two to three years’ experience in carpentry, window installation or a similar position is preferred.
Experience with power saws and paint sprayers.
