* Ø Utilize/implement standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges, and other measurement equipment to ensure quality of production parts.
* Ø Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
* Ø Establishes statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error, and determining levels of confidence.
* Ø Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; and making recommendations.
* Ø Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Ø Ensures products adhere to company and industry quality standards.
* Ø Brainstorms ideas to create solutions for identified problems.
* Ø Processing associated documentation including inspection reports, determine measurement techniques, frequency and equipment used.
* Ø Performs PPAP/FAI’s to customer requirements with all supporting documentation.
* Ø Establishing relationships with our customer’s quality department, with open communication on their needs.
* Ø Vender audits to ensure incoming product is conforming.
* Ø Vender and customer facility visits.
* Ø Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations, as well as keep a safe and clean work environment.
* Ø Other duties as assigned.
*PHYSICAL DEMANDS:* * Ø The employee frequently is required to sit.
The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl * Ø Vision abilities require close and far and being able to focus.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
*WORK ENVIRONMENT:* * Ø Requires safety measures to be followed when in the production areas.
* Ø Noise levels are mild to moderate: hearing protection is recommended.
*Qualifications:* * Ø High School Diploma or GED required.
* Ø College degree in related field and established work history in a quality department required.
* Ø Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and other measurement equipment.
* Ø Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection instructions.
* Ø A full understanding of GD&T.
* Ø Ability to work under direct supervision and to follow written instructions and techniques.
* Ø Good basic mathematical aptitude required.
* Ø Design/3D modeling ability to design inspection equipment.
* Ø General computer skills.
