com) Job Title Senior Systems Application Administrator Job Summary The Senior Systems Application Administrator functions at an expert level to handle any activities related to Information Technology (IT) application administration.
This position ensures long-term requirements are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization and installs, maintains, configures, and ensures the integrity of applications.
This position implements application enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
Essential Functions (Key Duties/Responsibilities/Accountabilities) Primarily responsible for supporting highly complex applications or heavily customized commercial off-the-shelf products.
Independently builds, implements, and maintains solutions to support systems and applications to meet business demands.
Carries out complex work with regards to incidents, changes, problems, requests, work orders, etc.
Evaluates system architecture considerations and makes recommendations, as needed.
Collaborates as a subject matter expert with project management, development, architecture, and other key staff to ensure operational readiness of new solutions and ongoing optimization/improvement of systems solutions.
Provides maintenance and routine support to existing systems.
Plans and creates solutions as necessary to meet changing enterprise needs.
Documents and creates technical processes and policies to support the maintenance, updating, and continued operation of software and tools.
Implements upgrades and applies security patches and bug fixes to maintain a concern and secure posture.
Provides guidance and training to IT staff and to other functional administrators on systems updates and new installations.
Analyzes needs and develops recommendations and technology solutions based on changing customer requirements and new applications.
Identifies and applies innovative technologies to update existing systems and works with key staff to develop configurations based on requirements.
Ensures security on assigned systems is functioning in accordance with company policies and reports any issues.
Actively works with internal IT staff to ensure applications are constantly available while meeting performance and availability requirements.
Ensures applications are performing in accordance with organizational needs on a 24 hour, 7-day a week technology basis.
Works closely with vendors for support, and coordinates testing and validation of changes to the system with the end user to ensure the system performs as expected upon completion of the maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Information Technology or related field 5 years' experience in system administration or IT related field Advanced level technical/professional knowledge and skills Intermediate level analytical thinking, effective interpersonal communication skills, task and goal focus ability, and coaching skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology related field 7 years' experience in system administration or IT related field Environment and Cognitive/Physical Demands Office environment Ability to read, hear, speak, keyboard, reason, communicate effectively and problem solve Requires prolonged sitting and telephone usage Requires the use of office equipment such as computer terminals, telephones, copiers and printers Infrequent lifting to 15 pounds Infrequent stooping Segregation of Duties Every employee is responsible to perform their duties and responsibilities in accordance with Noridian values, policies and procedures, including but not limited to, Segregation of Duties Principles, HIPAA, Security and Privacy, CMS requirements, the Noridian Compliance Program, and any other applicable laws, rules and regulations.
