*Your role in our team*
* You will produce a mechanical design for packaging machinery that meets the customers’ specifications using creativity and innovation
* You handle all aspects of design engineering work
* You provide production support to the machining and assembly areas
* You use Pro/E to model purchase parts and custom parts
* You draft detailed multi-view drawings of machine and products
* You perform research on design of manufacturing processes
* You perform prototyping activities of new product development
* You evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases
* You review product design for compliance and engineering principles, company standards, and customer’s requirements
* You work with vendors, customers, and employees on a professional level
* You determine problem analysis and problem resolution
* You specify and order integrated tools and equipment
* You troubleshoot to solve problems related to assigned projects
* You create BOM’s for purchased parts and machined parts
* You directly communicate with customers in the form of meetings and presentations to understand and define their needs
* You travel to customer’s plant to give presentation on their system and the assemblies that make up the system
*Your profile*
* You have a B.
S.
degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* You have at minimum 5 years of experience and knowledge in mechanical design in automation or related field
* You have two years of FAI design engineering experience
* You have a moderate skill level in Pro/Engineer software
* You are capable of designing new concepts and standards
* You are able to think ahead and plan over a 3-6 month time span
* You have great leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
* You have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
* You are able to travel 10% of the year
* You have troubleshooting skills, both mechanical and electrical
