Carpenter

Meinecke-Johnson Company is seeking skilled carpenters to join our team.
As a carpenter, you will perform a variety of tasks in the commercial construction industry utilizing both hand and power tools.
Carpenters should know how to interpret construction plans, handle materials according to the specifications, fabricate wood/metal fixtures, install windows, doors, and hardware, and construct temporary structures.
They will also need a strong working knowledge of the standard industry tools and equipment utilized in vertical construction.
4+ years Carpentry Experience Required Structural Welding Experience and Certification is a bonus, but not required.
The majority of our projects are local to the FM Metro.
This allows our employees to be home every night and on weekends.
Half day Fridays will let you enjoy a long weekend all year long.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST REQUIRED *Job Duties:* - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches - Measure, shape, and cut materials - Rough Carpentry (Framing, Backing, Window Blocking) - Finish Carpentry (Interior Wood Trim, Cabinets, etc) - Installation of Windows, Doors, and Hardware - Selective Demolition - Unloading and Loading of Materials - Misc.
