Join us and help build a more advanced, more autonomous, more connected, more electric and more sustainable future! This position is for an entry-level Structural Engineering professional, working under the guidance of senior structural analysis (Stress) engineers.
In this role, the identified candidate will resolve structural analysis problems of moderate scope to ensure high quality products, identify design deficiencies and recommend revisions.
Preparation of documentation of analysis will be integral as well.
A Strong understanding of core engineering concepts such as material properties, free body diagrams, and statics will be expanded upon and measured as the core competency in this role, as well as a deep understanding of structural loading and analysis.
The candidate will use strong teamwork skills to facilitate inclusion and leverage diversity for success.
Adaptability to adjust to business needs and priorities will be crucial for this role.
This is an on-site position based out of our Jamestown, ND site location; may be eligible for relocation.
Primary Responsibilities: Work within a team of stress engineers in support of new product development and certification Perform moderate to difficult structural analysis, with guidance from senior stress engineers, utilizing classical analysis and finite element analysis methods to demonstrate structural integrity of cargo handling system products Support the generation of component applied loads and aircraft interface loads Develop structural analysis documentation in support of product certification Support structural testing for product certification Support establishing structural specifications, conducting performance tests, and planning or conducting experimental, environmental, operational, or stress tests on models or prototypes of systems or equipment to ensure quality and performance standards are met Coordinate with cross-functional engineering groups (i.
e.
design, test, manufacturing, etc.
) to ensure structural analysis requirements are met during product development Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships) Must be a U.

Person (U.
S.
citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD.
The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
