Summary
A Production Technician could be working in a variety of positions including Paint Technician, Material Handler, Shipping & Receiving, or Assembly Technician.
The Production Technician makes sure the production process goes as planned and ensures that there are no errors or defects in the product being produced.
Job Duties
• Operate machinery to assist in the production process, set up and control operation of production machines
• Maintain a clean workspace as well ensuring that the equipment is operating properly.
• Understand and adhere to verbal and written instructions
• Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and mobile lifts as necessary
• Operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, electric tools, etc.
• Able to work as a member of a team
• Be flexible and adaptable
• Perform duties as assigned
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders and stairs, stand for long periods of time
• Be able to hear noises and conversational tones over background noise
Education/Experience
• Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
• Working in manufacturing plant environment
• Some exposure to potentially hazourdous environments requiring protective equipment
• Employee may be exposed to dust, odors, fumes and high levels of noise at times
• Lifting with mechanical assistance or moving up to 50lbs may be required
• Exposure to temperature fluctuations
