911 Dispatcher-$2,500 Recruitment Stipend

The Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a dispatcher/jail control position.

The right candidate will be a dependable individual who is able to multi-task and has an interest in the law enforcement field.
A high school diploma or equivalent and computer knowledge are required.
Training is provided.
Duties include, but are not limited to, answering 911 emergency calls, answering all multi-line business/administrative phone calls, radio communications, ambulance, fire and rescue paging, initial reports, logging all phone and radio communications, visually monitoring jail inmate activities via security cameras and occasional searching of inmates once trained.
2022 Starting salary is $20.
01 per hour with career advancement up to $27.
01 per hour with an EXCELLENT benefit package.
Starting January 1st, 2023 the salary range will be $22.
56 per hour with career advancement up to $31.
23 per hour.
