*Job Description* This positions will consist of the following provides technical assistance to the district traffic engineer.
This includes speed studies, traffic counts, operations and maintenance of electrical systems and inventory - Assist with maintaining a log of traffic counts completed and other paperwork, as needed, for data collected to ensure accurate records - Accepts personal responsibility and accountability to work safely.
Identifies any damaged or malfunctioning equipment and takes steps to remove it from service until corrections have been made.
Keeps the work area clean and orderly.
Uses appropriate tools, ergonomic principles and job rotation to prevent overexertion injuries or cumulative trauma disorders.
- Assist with setting portable traffic counters and road tubes to obtain count information *Minimum Seeds Program Qualifications* Applicants must be a current student enrolled at a college/university, trade, or technical school.
* If enrolled at a credit-granting institution, an applicant must carry at least six semester (nine quarter) credits; or * If enrolled at a non-credit granting institution or one that only offers one credit per class, the applicant must be taking two or more classes per semester/quarter.
Any lesser credit (class) load shall be treated as a semester/quarter off; or * Graduate students must be enrolled in at least two courses or making progress on a dissertation.
