NDGI is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual to join our team as an HR Generalist! In this role, you will perform a variety of clerical and office support functions under the guidance of the Director of Administration.
You'll also collaborate closely with our Administrative Assistant/HR Coordinator, who works alongside you, assisting with certain HR tasks under the same administrative leadership.

You will regularly utilize various websites, software programs, and technological solutions to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

The tasks and responsibilities of this position may evolve and expand based on the individual's capabilities and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.

We offer flexibility to adjust the start and end times by up to one hour, provided eight hours of work are completed each day.
*Responsibilities and Duties:* HR Administration and Compliance: * Administer day-to-day HR functions while fostering positive employee morale and engagement.
* Address general employee inquiries and provide necessary information.
* Create and modify documents, including reports, letters, spreadsheets, and policies.
* Maintain employee and company files in compliance with policies and relevant laws.
* Generate, collect, analyze, and summarize data for HR functions.
* Develop, update, and uphold HR standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local employment laws.
* Fulfill annual EEOC reporting requirements efficiently.
* Maintain compliance of labor law poster boards across all offices on a quarterly basis.
* Efficiently handle and submit Unemployment claims.
* Oversee administration of employee leaves of absence Including FMLA, ADA, Unpaid Leave, and short-term disability.
Ensure that leaves are processed and tracked accurately and in a timely manner.
* Assist with special projects as needed based on organizational requirements.
Employee Onboarding and Offboarding: * Help with talent acquisition functions including advertising, screening, interviewing, scheduling, and job offer preparation and extension for select offices * Conduct new hire orientations for various departments, ensuring a seamless integration into the company * Help improve the onboarding and integration process for a top-notch employee experience * Assist with offboarding process including exit interviews, safety equipment collection and reimbursements, and other necessary tasks Organizational Development: * Assist with annual safety training preparation and ensuring everyone completes their assigned LMS courses * Collect data for Annual Performance Reviews and help with preparing the forms * Help with the federal licensing process for Samplers and Technicians within NDGI * Monthly Scheduling for our truck lab employees, along with shifting employees within the month when needed Employee Recognition and Benefits Support: * Assist with payroll tasks on biweekly basis * Assist employees with new hire benefit enrollment on our online platform * Assist with annual open enrollment preparation and ensuring all eligible employees complete their enrollment/waiver submissions on our online platform * Support and facilitate employee recognition, satisfaction, and rewards programs.
* Offer support for annual 1095c forms and e-filing.
Conflict Resolution and Disciplinary Procedures: * Conduct verbal warning discussions and issue written warnings in cases of policy or procedure non-compliance.
* Handle negative situations with calmness, professionalism, and courtesy.
* Cultivate and maintain relationships with team members, promoting company culture and contributing to a positive work environment and employee experience.
* Identify and promptly report issues warranting escalation to the appropriate personnel.
Safety and Risk Management: * Prepare and submit OSHA 300A annual reports.
* Ensure timely completion and submission of annual workers' compensation audits.
* Conduct thorough quarterly safety inspections at the headquarters office.
* Facilitate Insurance audit reporting as necessary.
* Administer Worker’s Compensation claims.
Ensure workplace injury information is entered on a timely basis.
Maintain communication with all stakeholders including the work comp claims adjuster, employee, and supervisor.
Communicate work restriction information to supervisor(s), when necessary and ensure return to work letter from their doctor is received before employee's return, when applicable.
