*Summary: *Assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of provider by performing the following duties:
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities: *Include but are not limited to the following:
· Obtains patient health history and vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height, and documents information in patients' electronic record
· Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients
· Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment
· Hands instruments and materials to provider as directed
· Cleans and sterilizes instruments
· Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials
· Coordinates appointments for routine diagnostic test
· Collects blood samples, gives injections or treatments, and prepares specimens for laboratory tests
· Keys data into computer to maintain patient records
· Keeps clinic stocked with necessary supplies
· Maintain a clean and organized workspace
· Routine cleaning/deep cleaning of clinic
· Maintain up to date training assigned to expand skills and knowledge while ensuring understanding of new procedures and treatments implemented
· Helps educate/train co-workers and new hires

*Education and Experience: *High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and certificate from college or technical school and one month to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
*Certificates and Licenses: *Medical Assistant Certificate and/or official training, maintain a current LPN or RN license, maintain a current BLS Certification.
*Language Ability: *Ability to read and interpret documents, writes routine reports and correspondence, and speaks effectively before patients or associates of organization.
*Math Ability: *Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
*Reasoning Ability: *Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
*Computer Skills: *To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, internet software and electronic medical records.
