Job Summary/Basic Function
Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure Services & ISO, the Systems Administrator is a key member of the Information Technology Services team supporting core administrative systems and services.
The Systems Administrator works closely with all members of the systems and application services teams to provide support to functional team members across the college businesses.
To succeed, the Systems Administrator will need to be an adaptable, team player who is a self-starter with strong analytical/critical thinking skills and an attention to detail.
Minimum Qualifications
· Associates degree in a related field from an accredited college or university; or 3-5 years of related IT systems experience and/or training, preferably within a higher education environment; or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
· Three years of relevant Systems Administration experience with preference to applicants with current and related IT certifications.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; technical experience supporting administrative IT systems; academic administrative systems preferred; strong organizational skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
· Certification as Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)
