Description & Details: The Academic Assistant will provide administrative services to both the Dean’s Office and College of Engineering Departments.
For the Dean’s Office and the Department of Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering (IME), the position is responsible for the receptionist services and administrative tasks such as listserv and inventory management, records retention, serving as the Telephone Administrator, and other general office activities.
This position supports the college’s departments by managing all websites and processing all college service and work requests.
In addition, this position oversees and administers the IME department’s student services and academic activities.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
This position is not eligible for remote work.
Advertised Salary: $40,000+, commensurate with experience Minimum Qualifications: 2+ years of administrative or directly related work experience.
Strong customer service oriented.
Ability to multi-task.
Organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to prioritize duties and respond promptly to technical requests.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Effective problem-solving skill set.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree.
5+ years of administrative or directly related work experience.
Experience within an academic setting.
Experience with PeopleSoft, specifically Campus Connection.
Supervisory experience.
