PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Serve TNT’s mission by building and fostering relationships in a fun, positive, and safe environment.
Recreational coaches create and/or implement age-appropriate activities to enhance skill development and achieve the desired skill objectives.
TNT’s Recreational Coaches may work in the following programs:
Baby & Toddler gymnastics
Preschool gymnastics
School-age gymnastics and Ninja classes
Hours will vary with this position throughout the year:
Typical School Year Hours:
Monday through Friday 3:30p-8:15p
Typical Summer Months Hours:
Monday through Thursday 9:00a-8:15p
* Recreational coaches must be able to commit to their schedule for the entire Fall semester, Spring semester and Summer semester*
Responsibilities and Preferred Requirements:
All candidates must have a passion for building relationships and positively influencing youth through movement
Unlock Potential while learning all content needed to teach the curriculum
Complete administrative tasks associated with scheduled classes (attendance, skill tracking, evaluations, etc.
)
Keep customers safe by teaching age-appropriate activities and enforcing gym safety rules.
Complete all nightly cleaning duties and gym reset tasks.
Stay current with upcoming TNT Events.
Maintain all required certifications pertinent to position (TNT will train all required skills and certifications)
Experience as a gymnast or ninja athlete, or working as a gymnastics or ninja coach, childcare employee, preschool teacher, para educator, or elementary teacher preferred
Attending, interested in attending, or graduated from university for: Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Early Childhood Education, Physical Education, Psychology, Primary Education, Developmental & Adaptive Physical Education, Exercise Science, Coaching, Nursing, Health Education, or Special Education.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Physical tasks such as moving, adjusting, and setting up equipment upwards of 50lbs.
Ability to position self in multiple ways to ensure safety through performance of specific skills.
TNT is a fast paced environment and the successful candidate will be able to adapt quickly and self-reliant.
