The full salary range for positions under this agreement can be found in Article 11, Section S.
Salary Minimum $62,260 Salary Maximum $84,705+ DOE Salary Type Annual Bargaining Unit/Plan 209, IFO Job Description Teach primarily undergraduate psychology courses and as needed, courses for the school psychology graduate program.
Teach courses including, but not limited to, Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences, Experimental Methods, Developmental, Child & Adolescent, Adulthood & Aging, and other courses in area of expertise.
Deliver courses using a variety of methods, including traditional in-person, HyFlex, and asynchronous online commensurate with department and university needs.
Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.
Contribute to student growth and development, including student advising and research mentorship.
Support Minnesota State University Moorhead’s strategic priorities of creating a campus that is academically distinct, equitable and inclusive, and engaged with the community.
Typical teaching load is 12 credits per semester.
This is an in person/on campus position (not remote).
Required Qualifications Earned doctorate in Developmental Psychology or closely related field at the start of employment.
Demonstrated ability to teach statistics/methods course sequence.
Demonstrated ability to teach developmental psychology related courses, in addition to other courses in area of expertise.
Evidence of productive research program in developmental science with opportunities for student involvement.
Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching across course delivery methods.
Ability to work successfully with students of diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications Ability to contribute to neuroscience minor by using neurological methods in research and/or teaching courses such as Intro to Neuroscience and Brain & Behavior.
Experience advising undergraduate students.
Experience teaching courses across delivery methods.
Demonstrated commitment to involving student collaborators in research.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse learning and working environment.
Other Requirements The successful candidate must be able to lawfully accept employment in the United States by the day employment begins.
