Paraprofessional

*Position Summary* We are looking for individuals who are positive, energetic, compassionate, caring and dedicated to Rothsay students’ success.
Paraprofessionals will provide support through activities including, but not limited to, material preparation and progress monitoring with small group and individual instruction.
Paraprofessionals generally work in an inclusionary setting (i.
e.
least restrictive environment).
Special education paraprofessionals assist students with specific needs under the direction of a certified teacher.
The special education paraprofessional also assists the teacher in general daily classroom activities, helps meet the needs of students, while caring for their physical, emotional health and safety, affirming their abilities, and striving to promote dignity in all relationships.
* Provide instructional and/or behavioral support * Assist and encourage students by utilizing curriculum provided by certified teachers * Assist in empowering students through curriculum designed to enhance their academic and social achievements * Act as a nurturing and encouraging influence for students during lessons * Provide a safe learning environment * Work with a professional team that cares about both students and staff This position follows the school calendar and is Monday through Friday.
*Salary* Starting wage depends on experience.
