SHIFT: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (Frequent OT on Fridays)
PAY RATE: $27.
00 - $30.

This trainer will be responsible for the training and mentoring of all welding positions in the key areas of plant fabrication and then measuring the effectiveness of the program.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for training and mentoring all welding positions in the key areas of plant fabrication.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Collaborate with Site Leadership Team on the design and development of fabrication training for production new hires.
Collaborate with Site Leadership Team on the timely execution, roll-out, and overall implementation of fabrication training.
Assist with course material and training content
Assist with evaluations that measure learning performance.
Closely monitor and effectively teach the fundamentals and foundational skills of shop fabrication
Effectively communicate training procedures in a manner that is easily comprehended.
Motivate/engage trainees while still providing critical feedback.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Steel Fabrication ensuring that each trainee is receiving and understanding all required course material.
Conduct Weekly Training Evaluations for each trainee.
Identify where learning gaps exist and provide recommendation for improvements.
Prepare presentations, instructions, and hands-on training guidance with respect to all tools, training materials, and training delivery methods.
Training to occur in shop or classroom environment depending on the subject topic.
Serve as a “Role Model” to trainees exhibiting professional communication, humility, courtesy, safety, and respect to everyone at-all times.

Must be willing to travel to other production sites in the company.
Prompt and dependable attendance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES
CWI certification preferred (company willing to support certification for the right candidate)
Five (5) years of related experience in Steel Fabrication (Welding, Fitting, and Machine Operations) preferred.
2-3 years of training or related experience preferred.
Must be able to effectively present and “deliver” complex technical material to non-technical employees in such a manner that is easily understood and identified over a period of time.
Must have excellent patience, endurance, and teaching skills.
Strong communications in oral speech, listening and focus on the learner.
Collaboration, adaptability, and organizational skills are required.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma/general equivalency diploma (GED).
Blueprint reading with complex building structure knowledge.
This position will be highly encouraged to participate in ongoing professional Learning and Development (L&D) training in the areas of curriculum design, training evaluation, and delivery methodologies.
