Job Summary/Basic Function
Anderson Office of Career Success & Academic Advisor will be a dynamic role with the Offutt
School of Business (OSB).
The role will be divided between Academic Advising and Career Services.
The incumbent will collaborate within various areas of the Offutt School of Business, Concordia College and other stakeholders to execute programming.
This position will also help guide and drive expansion of student services within the Anderson Office of Career Success, coordinating with the Career Center.
Duties including: Interpreting student career inventories (e.
g.
, MBTI and Emotional Intelligence), assisting students in career advice, design and deliver student workshops, aiding students in creating resumes and social media presence and serving as a liaison to student groups and organizations.
Activities will include teaching the career preparedness courses.
Advising duties include serving as primary academic advisor for first year and other students in OSB.
Minimum Qualifications
Required: Master’s degree with 2-3 years’ experience in career counseling, career success programs and academic advising
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred:
2-3 years’ experience teaching higher education courses.
