POSITION: Science Instructor
LOCATION: Primarily NDSCS-Fargo
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time, 9-month faculty position.

JOB SUMMARY: This is a full-time, 9-month instructional position in the NDSCS Math and Science Department.
Primary instructional responsibilities include Biology and Microbiology.
Other duties include curriculum development & revision, student advisement, student recruitment activities, committee participation, assessment of student learning, and related departmental and college responsibilities.
The successful applicant will be expected to embrace the use of technology, as it relates to teaching and learning, and must be highly motivated, self-directed, and able to analyze and solve problems while working effectively in a team-centered management atmosphere.

SALARY: Starting at $53,668 commensurate with education and experience
Required Competencies
Must support the mission, vision, and values of NDSCS
Master’s degree in biology or a related field
Experience teaching with technology
Computer literacy including word processing and e-mail
Two years of teaching experience
Demonstrated competence in subject matter
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Motivated, self-directed, and able to work effectively and professionally with students and staff in a team setting
Ability to articulate and support the two-year postsecondary college philosophy with a strong commitment to teaching and learning in a two-year college setting
Preferred Qualifications
Successful college teaching experience
Experience with or willingness to develop and/or teach courses online or other distance delivery methods
Experience with Blackboard or another LMS
Experience with course and program assessment
