Electrical Technology instructor
LOCATION: NDSCS – Wahpeton, North Dakota
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time, 9-month, faculty position

JOB SUMMARY: Primary instructional responsibilities include lecture and/or lab courses in any of the following (based upon individual’s strengths): Code Study and Wiring Lab; Motor Controls, PLC’s and Drives; Instrumentation and Automation; theory and Math.
Other duties of this position include curriculum development, student advisement, committee work, student recruitment and related departmental and college responsibilities.
The successful applicant will be expected to embrace the use of technology, as it relates to teaching and must be highly motivated, self-directed, and able to analyze and problem solve while working effectively in a team-centered management atmosphere.

SALARY: Starting at $58,913 commensurate with education and experience Minimum Requirements Must support the mission, vision and values of NDSCS Two year degree in Electrical Technology or related area, plus a minimum of three years relevant work experience OR equivalent education and experience Effective oral and written communication skills Computer and technology literacy Ability to function in a team environment Flexibility to meet the needs of students Willingness to teach students of varying abilities Ability and willingness to keep current in the field Willingness to utilize remote teaching methods as needs arise Preferred Qualifications Associate in Applied Science Journeyman license or higher (with willingness to attain Master license if necessary) Industry experience in one or more of the following areas: Commercial and residential wiring and codes Instrumentation and process controls Electronics/home and building automation Electric motor controls and drives Renewable energy knowledge/installation experience Teaching or training experience Current certification by the North Dakota Department of Career & Technical Education How To Apply DATE AVAILABLE: January 2, 2024 (or sooner) SCREENING BEGINS: Immediately – for full consideration, applications should be received as soon as possible.
