SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - LIBERTY MIDDLE SCHOOL
POSITION: Special Education Teacher - Liberty Middle School
TERM: 188-day contract projected to start on or after January 1, 2024 (# of days prorated to length of year remaining)
SUMMARY: Provides support to students to help them succeed academically, socially and emotionally.
Will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to help create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments.
Position will teach Math Intervention curriculum as a part of our MTSS pathway and will case manage middle school learners primarily in the disability category of Specific Learning Disability.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in one or more areas of Special Education preferred
ND Teaching License with qualifications in one or more areas of special education
ND Teaching License with qualifications in elementary education and/or secondary math education prefferred
Ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
Experience managing complex student behaviors preferred
Prior experience working in a special education classroom preferred
Master's Degree in Special Education preferred
Experience developing and implementing IEPs and positive behavior plans preferred
SALARY: 2023-2024 Teacher's Salary Schedule
The WFPS District funds the entire 11.
75% employee contribution to TFFR, as well as the 12.
75% employer contribution.
